If you receive an inappropriate message on IMVU or feeling attacked by someone in the client (we talking about words here, not 3d-actions!) you should report it. There are several ways to do so depending on where you received the message.

If you got a message on your homepage from an avatar and you want to report it you should use the given “Report abuse” above the message. Like this you can flag a chosen message for review and IMVU will get all evidences to take action.

Also messages containing fake links, disgusting words, spam and very suspicious messages should be reported.

If someone attacks you in the client there is a button as well to report the whole chat. The whole chat history might be send to IMVU in case of clicking the button.

Reporting an issue later after the chat is closed or the message deleted makes it not easy and maybe also impossible to search for evidences of the case. Therefor: If needed, report in time and not too late and of course do not ignore it.

IMVU will block the avatar straight ahead if you report them. Like this they will not even have the chance to get in contact with you again.
